Final Fantasy XIII

So who else has it? or am I the only nerd that was at walmart as soon as it opened yesterday to pick up my pre-order?


either way this game is fucking awesome.

I heard things about it that were kinda meh. Besides, I play FFXI. Even that consumes more time than I'd like.

well.... the battle system is kind of cool and all but.

you get fully healed after each fight, and mp is gone, so no worries about running out... EVER!
and with how you can switch up roles at any time in combat it makes things a bit easier, do a rush till you get beat down a bit then swap over to a defensive set up then switch back once your healed up. rinse repeat, beat anything.

so far it reminds me of X a lot, battles seem easy, the "level up" system is very similar to the sphere grid except everyone gets their own so no making the big badass swordsman a mage this time. But the story seems fairly solid and should be good.

I will buy it in the near future... my FF preferences go like this:

you may, it is quite different from others
feature I do like... retry, rather than a "game over Hope you saved recently bitch" you get to just go back to right before you engaged the enemy (boss's included) and either try again right away or turn around find a save point or whatever.

Nice.

also speaking of save points... they are fucking everywhere.
seems like as soon as one goes off the mini map another is popping up.
and the fact that save point also = shop yeh don't worry about running out of items

So, no more scrapping for stuff? That's a shame, it seems the game is on easy mode now >_>
